FIELD: astronautics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling the movement of a rotating ligament of a spacecraft (SC). Method includes reorientation in space of a sustainer propulsion system (SPS) located in the center of rotation of the ligament and connected with cables from the spacecraft. Ends of the cables are fixed on the outer surface of the sliding half-rings, covering the SPS and pivotally connected with it. When reorienting, move the movable parts of the half-rings apart, perform SPS reversal (for example, using motors installed in the hinges) at an angle of 180 degrees and again move the half-rings. Thus, the direction of the SPS for subsequent maneuvers is reversed.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase the speed and safety of motion control of a complex formation of the spacecraft group.
