FIELD: means of communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication. Communication method comprises steps of: receiving a first superframe end (EOSF) symbol from a previous device of said intermediate device, transmitting a WAIT symbol to a previous device of said intermediate device, wherein said transmission is initiated by receiving a first symbol, transmitting a first EOSF symbol to a subsequent device of said intermediate device, wherein WAIT symbol transmission occurs periodically at intervals of less than a first predetermined period, wherein periodical WAIT symbol transmission, performed by intermediate device, is interrupted by reception from next device of certain data, other than symbol WAIT.

EFFECT: technical result consists in adaptation of communication to cable breaks and faults of communication lines due to control of flexible channels and changes in network topology.
