FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polymer composition suitable for blown film applications, which contains from 80 to 99.5 percent by weight of a continuous polymer phase containing a polyolefin and from 0.5 to 20 percent by weight of polymer particles having an average particle diameter of 0.85 to 20 microns; a refractive index of 1.46 to 1.7, an average particle hardness from 1.2367E+10 N/m2 up to 8.4617E+10 N/m2 and containing at least 60 % of polymerized acrylic monomer units. Further, the use of the polymer composition of the above composition allows to obtain blown films characterized by a thickness in the range from 5 to 350 mcm, a modulus of elasticity in the range from 5 to 133 MPa, a melt strength in the range from 4 to 40 cN, an elongation at break in the range from 100 to 1,000 %, a 45 degree gloss in the range from 7 to 136 and a softness that is higher than the softness of a film not containing the above polymer composition.
EFFECT: proposed is an enhanced tactile responsive and optically translucent film for packaging.
