METHOD OF REHABILITATION AFTER TOTAL KNEE ENDOPROSTHESIS REPLACEMENTIN PATIENTS WITH SARCOPENIA Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61N1/32

Abstract RU 2684178 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, traumatology, physiotherapy, spa. It is used for rehabilitation of patients with sarcopenia after total knee joint replacement. A dominant spectral peak (DSP) of an alpha-rhythm of a patient's cerebrum is determined. Magnetic stimulation 1–3 days after ECS is performed with frequency of patient's alpha rhythm. On 4th–10th day, the exposure is presented with a theta-rhythm frequency equal to 4 Hz in three areas of the lower extremity: in projection of femoral nerve outlet from Gunther's canal on border of middle and lower thirds of thigh along medial surface between great adductor muscle and medial portion of quadriceps muscle of hip, in the projection of the stroke of the ischial nerve in the middle of the triangle formed by the posterior upper ilium of the ilium, the ischial tuberosity and the greater trochanter, between the medial and lateral head of the calf muscle, in the center of the shin in the projection of the tibial nerve and the common fibular nerve. Duration of stimulus is equal to 100 mcs, duration of exposure on each area is 5 min, inter-pulse interval is 0.1 ms, duration of procedure is 15 minutes, course length is 10 procedures. Magnetic pulse is generated by flat inductance coil with diameter of 150 mm – inductor "circular large" IR-02-150 – during 100 microseconds.

EFFECT: method enables improving the treatment results, reducing pain syndrome intensity, reducing the edema, and increasing the strength and volume of the hip and shin muscles.
