FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of axle boxes of railway cars. Between the axle box and the axle opening of the side frame of the carriage the axle box adapter and a replacement cushion is installed. Cushion is made of upper and lower rigid plates. Plates are connected by a layer of elastomer. Upper and lower plates are made of a similar shape with the sections bent upwards. On the outer surfaces of the upper and lower plates are made transverse tides, intended for fixation on the side frame and axle box adapter, respectively. Upper and lower plates are movable relative to each other due to the deformation of the elastomer.
EFFECT: increase in the speed of the car during the passage of the curves.
