FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary science. Method for determining specific antibodies to type I ducklings hepatitis virus by ELISA involving obtaining an antigen, is proposed. Antigen is represented by a virus produced as a result of the introduction of the type I ducklings hepatitis virus strain "VN-3" into the body. When the inactivated virus-containing material is purified, activated macroporous glass 1000 VGH is used. As anti-species immunoperoxidase conjugate used is the duck IgG-specific. ELISA results are taken into account by formula: titre = antilg [1.36 (lg S/P) +3.53]. Serum samples with S/P-ratio below 0.2 are considered to be negative, with S/P-ratio equal to 0.21–0.23 – doubtful, more or equal to 0.24 – positive.
EFFECT: invention provides effective detection of specific antibodies to type I ducklings hepatitis virus.
