FIELD: hydro acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydro acoustics and is intended for identification of objects detected by several sonar systems located on a common carrier. Invention can also be used to identify objects detected by heterogeneous electronic weapons systems that are on a common carrier. In the claimed method, the object signal is received separately by several systems on a common carrier, measure the direction of the object separately in each system, repeatedly receive a signal and repeatedly measure the direction of the object in each system. With each new measurement of the direction to the object, a new value of the difference between the directions to the object in each pair of systems is formed, each new value of the difference is memorized, forming the next element of the array of the set of observations, determine the current average value of the difference and the variance of the difference in the set of observations, decide on the identification of objects in the case of joint fulfillment of the conditions: the average value of the difference and the variance of the difference less than the threshold.
EFFECT: identification of objects on the basis of one common parameter – "direction" to the object, but taking into account two characteristics of the object, sufficient for identification, namely taking into account the instantaneous location of the object by the angle and taking into account the parameters of its movement; while unambiguous identification is ensured, and its effectiveness is increased.
