FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroacoustics and is intended to identify objects detected by different hydroacoustic systems on a common carrier, antennas of which are spaced apart in space. Method is based on receiving an acoustic signal of an object separately by two systems on a common carrier. In implementing the method, a cross-correlation function is calculated between the measured signals for each pair of objects. For this purpose, signals of each object in both systems are pre-filtered with a band-pass filter with a pass band equal to the frequency range common for both systems. Decision is made on identification for pairs of objects if the following condition is met: maximum value of cross-correlation function between signals of said pairs is more than threshold.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the possibility of identifying objects when hydroacoustic surveillance systems are spaced apart, and the direction to the object does not provide information on possible identification.
