FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to herniology. Under combined endotracheal anesthesia, postoperative cicatrix is excised. Hernial sac is separated and dissected in the middle to create two contralateral aponeurotic flaps. That is followed by creating a single posterior aponeurosis by suturing the lower flap to the rest of the spigelian line of the opposite side. Mesh implant is laid from spigelian line of opposite side on internal oblique muscle to back muscles. Upper contralateral flap is sutured to an upper leaf of a rectus sheath with subsequent creation of a single anterior leaf of the aponeurosis. Drain of space above mesh is performed. Layer-to-layer closure of postoperative wound.
EFFECT: method allows eliminating gigantic hernias even in defect of anterior abdominal wall tissues, as well as reducing the risk of purulent-infected complications.
