SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and metallurgy, specifically to technology of extracting scandium from productive solutions formed during processing of uranium ore, during their production by method of underground leaching. In the method of extracting scandium from a scandium-containing product solution according to the invention, a step for pretreating a phosphorus-containing ionite with a solution of sulphurous acid H2SO3 or sodium sulphite Na2SO3. This leads to more effective further processing of desorption solutions with obtaining of concentrates which are purer in scandium and simplification of further production of scandium oxide.

EFFECT: obtaining a cleaner scandium concentrate.
