FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive seat system. Folding seat comprises seat (3), backrest (2) and control mechanism. Seat rests on front connection link (6) swinging by its every end at seat (3) and floor and on rear connection link (7) swinging at seat (3) and said floor. Backrest (2) is articulated with said seat by hinge which allows the backrest changeover from unfolded, a normal position, into folded position whereat backrest (3) lies over the seat. Control mechanism locks said hinge and breaks the parallelogram composed of seat (3), front connection links (6) and rear connection links (7) in forward direction to allow access to rear seats and in backward direction to fold the seat. Turn drive incorporated with control mechanism comprises rocking plate (26) engaged with the seat (3) and provided with two teeth (27, 28).

EFFECT: minimised space, access to rear seats.
