FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement equipment and can be used in devices for measuring the actual value of alternating voltage or current of arbitrary shape. Meter has an ADC, a clock pulse generator (GTI) and n series-connected sampling units (BOO), each of which consists of a multitrack code shift register (MRk) and adder (SUMk). Besides, it comprises controlled signal level divider (UD), quadratic converter (KP), code generator (FK), square-root computer (VKK) and indicator (I). Measured signal is transmitted to the input of the UD, the output of which is connected to the input of the ADC, the control input of which is connected to the output of the GTI, and the output is connected to the input of the KP, the output of which is connected to the input of the first BOO, and the output of the last BOO is connected to the input of the FK, the output of which is connected to the input of the VKK, and the output of the VKK is connected to the input of the I indicator, which displays the measurement result. In each BOO, the first input of the SUM adder and the input of the MR register are connected together and form the common input of the BOO, the output of the MR is connected to the second input of the SUM, and the output of the SUM adder forms the output of the BOO. Control output of the FK is connected to the control inputs of the amplifier and indicator, the clock inputs of all BOO and FK are connected to the output of the GTI.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility of measuring the actual value of the input variable signal of arbitrary shape with high accuracy without the need to determine its repetition period and with minimum hardware costs.
