FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining characteristics of bundle (1) of electric cables (2, 3, 4, ...), including accounting for at least one surface temperature of cables (Tsurfaces), first, at least one sum of heat fluxes (Φ1, Φ2, ..., Φn), calculated for each cable (2, 3, 4, ...) for thermal effect due to electric resistance of each cable passing the corresponding electric current (i1, i2, ..., in), and secondly, heat flow (Φs), calculated for heat generated by bundle (1) in its environment, in order to determine dimensions of cables (2, 3, 4, ...), compatible with their use.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing harness characteristics of electrical cables.
