FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laboratory methods for evaluating operational properties of jet engine fuels. Method comprises sampling, adding 0.125 g of dicumyl peroxide, placing the sample in the measuring bomb at a ratio of gas and liquid phases of 2:1, oxygen pressurisation in measuring bomb to 400 kPa, holding of measuring bomb in heated to 100 °C thermostat for 48 hours. In 90 minutes from the moment of measuring bomb placement temperature and pressure of gas phase is measured in thermostat, these measurements are repeated every 30 minutes and oxygen absorption rate values are calculated υi,(i+1). Chemical stability index is taken to be maximum value of oxygen absorption rate υmax.
EFFECT: wider range of analyzed fuels without reducing requirements for reliability of determination results.
