FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain wear-resistant materials using the energy of explosives (EX), in particular in the manufacture of friction pairs for operation in non-corrosive environments. Five-layer billet is produced with alternating layers: copper – low carbon steel – titanium – low carbon steel – copper and the subsequent explosion welding in a multilayer package of copper layers among themselves on regulated modes. After hot rolling 6–8 welded five-layer blanks constitute a multilayer package, explosion welding of which is carried out at a detonation speed of explosives 2,400–2,900 m/s, the height of the explosive charge and the welding gaps between five-layer blanks of titanium copper and steel when welding a multilayer package are selected from the condition of obtaining the speeds of collision between them within 315–440 m/with. Then, the welded multilayer package is annealed with the formation of intermetallic interlayers between the layers of low carbon steel and titanium layers.
EFFECT: method provides for obtaining a multilayer composite material made of copper, titanium and steel with a low wear rate and ensuring a large amount of permissible wear while its service properties remain unchanged.
