FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for production of wear proof materials with the help of explosive power, in particular, pairs of friction, braking devices, etc to be operated in aggressive media. Four- and file-layer billets from alternating titanium and steel layers are produced by explosion welding with preset ratio between thicknesses of said layers. Multilayer stack of two four-layer billets and four to six five-layer welded billets arranged there between is composed for explosion welding with aluminium layers of four-layer billets arranged inside said stack. Explosive charge height and welding gaps between welded billets in said stack are selected to comply with preset rates of their collision. Produced stack is annealed and reduced by metal dies from refractory material and air cooled.
EFFECT: increased allowable wear.
