FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine building, particularly, to methods of determining service life of rotating parts. Stress-strain state and cyclic durability are calculated at typical operation cycle of rotating part taking into account its structural features creating stress concentration zones. Voltage concentration zone location and minimum cyclic durability in this zone are determined. Model sample is made with observance of geometrical similarity in relation to the rotating part and certain diameter. Approximate value of model sample rotation frequency is determined in compliance with parameters of test installation. Thickness of the model sample is selected identical to the thickness of the rotating part, wherein the model sample is made with due allowance for the structural features of the rotating part. Then model sample is installed in test installation and its maximum rotation speed is specified according to certain ratio. Using the obtained calculation results, the maximum speed of the model sample rotation is set, the model sample is tested, thus creating the conditions as in the standard cycle of the rotating part operation, and the number of test cycles is fixed until the crack appears in the model sample.
EFFECT: possibility of determining cyclic durability of rotating parts taking into account their various design features creating stress concentration zones.
