FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processes of separating metals, particularly separation of precious metals, such as platinum and palladium, by liquid extraction. Invention also discloses novel mixtures for liquid extraction. Due to simultaneous use of various extraction mechanisms for extraction of multiple different metals, simple and convenient process of their separation can be achieved. In particular, use of different extraction mechanisms for simultaneous extraction of metals from aqueous acid phase into organic phase enables separation of extracted metals by selective re-extraction from organic phase using simple and mild conditions.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of separation of two or more metals after one stage of liquid extraction due to possibility of selective re-extraction of metals from organic phase.
