FIELD: chemical technology for preparing platinum metals. SUBSTANCE: original solution contains platinum metals, tin and other impurities of non-noble metals. Tin is extracted with phosphoric acid tributyl ester. Platinum metals remain in aqueous phase. Tin is reextracted from phosphoric acid tributyl ester with ferric chloride solution containing 60-80 g/l of FeCl3 and 3-4 N NCl. Phosphoric acid tributyl ester is purified from iron by washing with water of 0.1 N hydrochloric acid. Phosphoric acid tributyl ester is directed for extraction of tin. Method makes it possible to use solutions with low concentration of hydrochloric acid to reextract tin, reduce consumption of hydrochloric acid, avoid destruction of extracting agent and create cycle without additional processing or purification. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 2 cl, 3 ex
