FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an applicator for the application onto and the embossing microprofiling of fluid medium (6) on substrate (5), in particular in the aerospace industry, and also concerns a corresponding application device with such an applicator. Applicator (2) has rotatably driven die (22) having embossing profile (25), pressing means (32) for die (22) and stabilising device (15), in particular a hardening device, for applied medium (6). Applicator (2) also has hollow support body (27) which die (22) surrounds at a distance to form interstice (31). Pressing means (32) are provided in interstice (31) and have control means for controlling or adjusting internal pressing force on die (22). Applicator can have its own drive (44) to provide circular motion of die (22).
EFFECT: technical result of the group of inventions is enabling application of curable lacquer within narrow tolerances for layer thickness and for embossed microstructure, as well as longer life of the deposited medium and improved physical and technical action of the microstructure, which provides low air resistance on the skin of the aircraft and considerable fuel saving.
