FIELD: radio equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to radio engineering and can be used in fiscal systems for controlling location of ships as an alternative method of determining coordinates, in particular, for detecting local substitution of signals of global navigation satellite systems (GLONASS, GPS, Galileo, BeiDou). Vessel location is determined by detecting arrival directions of automatic identification system (AIS) signals from one or more sources (ships, buoys, coastal stations AIS), extracting from these signals information on the location of said sources and further solving the problem of determining proper coordinates, for which a radio device is used, which enables to determine the required characteristics of signals of AIS and realizing algorithms for calculating proper coordinates.

EFFECT: determination of vessel position based on analysis of signals characteristics AIS emitted by objects in radio visibility zone of device, without use of satellite navigation equipment.
