FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of extracting scandium from technogenic and productive scandium-containing solutions. Method comprises treating a starting solution with a demulsifying composition, filtering the solution, countercurrent extraction of scandium with a complex extractant which contains di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid, tributyl phosphate and a diluent - oil paraffin, for example, fraction C10–C13. Then scandium-rich extractant is washed with solution of sulfuric acid, solid-phase re-extraction of scandium by solution with formation of scandium concentrate. Changes are made, wherein the demulsifier used is water-soluble non-ionic surfactants or solutions thereof; - counter-current extraction, washing and re-extraction is carried out continuously; - and for regeneration of extractant before extraction of scandium it is treated with sulfuric acid solution with concentration of 30–100 g/l.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase efficiency of the process.
