SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of extracting scandium from technogenic and productive scandium-containing solutions. The method includes the operation of extracting scandium on a solid extractant, stripping scandium, returning the re-extracted solid extractant to the scandium extraction operation, precipitating thorium fluoride from the scandium stripping solution to obtain a deactivated scandium stripping solution, from which a scandium fluoride concentrate is precipitated to obtain a filtrate, which is saturated with hydrofluoric acid and re-directed to the operation of stripping scandium, and processing of scandium fluoride concentrate. In this case, before returning the re-extracted solid extractant to the scandium extraction operation, it is washed with a sulphuric acid solution to obtain a washing solution, which is sent to the scandium extraction operation. Processing of scandium fluoride concentrate is carried out with concentrated sulphuric acid at a mass ratio of scandium fluoride concentrate: sulphuric acid 1:1-5, temperature 180-220°C for 1-5 hours to obtain sinter, which is then dissolved in water at a ratio of sinter to water of 1:5-20 to obtain a scandium solution, from which a sparingly soluble scandium compound is precipitated, which is calcined to obtain scandium oxide, or a scandium solution is sent directly to obtain scandium oxide.

EFFECT: reduced losses of scandium, leading to an increase in its through extraction, low operational efficiency and the possibility of using cheaper reagents.
