SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of abrasive processing, in particular to an abrasive article based on a nonwoven material and a method for manufacturing same. Coated abrasive article, comprising abrasive particles, comprises a main portion comprising a substrate comprising a spunlace-type polyester-based material and a saturant contained in spunlace-type polyester-based material, said saturant comprising a material selected from the group consisting of a phenolic resin, acrylic resin, polyurea and a combination thereof, and an abrasive layer containing abrasive particles, wherein the content ratio of the saturant / substrate (Cs / Cb) is 0.01 to 1.
