SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a single-pass jet printer with a track path for carrying a Y-direction printing medium, as well as with plurality of printing head modules arranged one after the other in Y-direction, which respectively propagate in X-direction across multiple print heads across the running track, and with the printing region in which the printhead modules can be mounted in the corresponding printing position, substantially vertically in the Z-direction, and with the possibility of being reversibly inserted and withdrawn along the Z-direction, wherein it is provided that in addition to the printing region there is a storage area, in which several modules of printing heads can be installed in corresponding storage position, in fact, vertically in Z-direction, and capable of being reversibly inserted and withdrawn along the Z-direction.
EFFECT: print heads of printhead modules arranged in storage position are installed in protective casing.
