SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a modular maintenance station intended for maintenance of a printing head for ink-jet printing of an ink-jet printing system. In this case, the maintenance station contains a frame, on which at least one overlapping element and at least one purifying element are installed, a means for horizontal movement of at least one printing head for ink-jet printing between a printing position and a maintenance position, while the means for horizontal movement is made with the possibility of provision of a purification process, a means for vertical movement of at least one printing head for ink-jet printing, while the means for vertical movement is made with the possibility of provision of processes of overlapping, elimination of clogging, or blowdown relatively to at least one printing head for ink-jet printing, and a tank with spent paint in sealed communication with at least one overlapping element.

EFFECT: creation of a simple, compact, efficient, tunable maintenance station allowing for avoidance of undesired points or spots on a printing carrier during maintenance, as well as possibility of efficient purification, blowdown, and overlapping of a printing head of any length.
