FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, in particular to a method of controlling damage to plants by cotton bollworm, as well as to a method of controlling insect cotton bollworm, comprising providing Cry1Da insecticidal protein to said cotton bollworm. Also disclosed is a set of plants for controlling cotton bollworm in a field, comprising plants which do not contain Bacillus thuringiensis protein, in said field and plants which express Cry1Da insecticidal protein, as well as a mixture of seeds for controlling cotton bollworm, comprising seeds obtained from plants which do not contain Bacillus thuringiensis protein, and a set of seeds capable of expressing Cry1Da insecticidal protein.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to effectively prevent damage to plants by cotton bollworm.
