FIELD: satisfaction of vital human requirements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for shaving. Electric razor (1) comprises knife assembly (3), electric motor (4), load detector configured to determine load current of motor (4), controller and controlled switch (13). Controller switches medium voltage from first level to second level as soon as load current exceeds first threshold value (TH-TH). Controller switches the medium voltage from the second level back to the first level if load current falls below the second threshold value (TH-TL) and remains below the second threshold value (TH-TL) for the specified period of time. Controlled switch (13) is configured to interrupt voltage supplied to motor (4). Controller switches on and off controlled switch (13) by means of a control signal with pulse-width modulation.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of power consumed by electric razor.
