SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for shaving. Shaver contains a block of knives powered by an electric motor, a load sensor. Load sensor measures an electrical parameter indicating the power consumption of the motor to produce a measured value. Idle load calculator receives one or more values measured at different times during the idle shaver period. Idle load calculator calculates the idle load value using the one or more measured values mentioned and stores the calculated idle load value in the memory. Threshold calculator determines a cleaning threshold value. Comparator generates a cleaning signal when the idle load for the current shaving session exceeds the cleaning threshold value. Warning device gives a warning message indicating to the user that the shaver block must be cleaned.
EFFECT: creation of an electric shaver, providing a reliable warning signal about the need for its cleaning.
