FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a battery with molten sodium, which provides easy sealing between a plate-like partition wall, comprising an anode chamber in its inner space, and a metal cathode container enclosing a plate-like partition with formation of an airtight cathode chamber; and the plate-like partition itself. Partition 11 comprises: plate-like body 111 of partition arranged inside metal cathode container 12, which includes cap 122 of cylindrical shape, allowing to communicate with inner space with external environment; external environment includes: anode chamber 110 approximately at central section in direction of thickness and through hole 1175, and is made of beta-alumina; and nipple-shaped head 117, made integral with baffle 111, including flow channel 1176, which communicates with anode chamber 110 by through hole 1175, airtightly connected to cap 122 and made of ceramic material.
EFFECT: technical result is improvement of sealing between partition and cathode container with high airtightness.
