FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: technical solution relates to electrical engineering and can be used as current-conducting core in wires and cables meeting fire safety requirements. Current-conducting core is coated with a layer of compacted basalt powder connected to surface of current-conducting core.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of inexpensive current-conducting core with incombustible coating, which satisfies fire safety requirements under conditions of high temperatures and open fire both on outer side and on the side of current conducting conductor itself.
