FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to disinfection and purification systems for medical devices. In a preferable embodiment, the invention relates to compositions, methods and articles for simultaneous cleaning and disinfection of contact lenses. Present invention is aimed at ophthalmic compositions containing one or more block-copolymers referred to as (polyoxyethylene) – (polyoxybutylene) block-copolymers (“PEO-PBO”).
EFFECT: invention particularly aims at use of PEO-PBO diblock copolymers as non-foaming wetting agents in peroxide-based compositions for contact lens disinfection.
