FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of repairing a wall of a vertical reservoir made of steel sheets of low-carbon and low-alloy steels interconnected by welded joints. Insert is installed on the reservoir wall with a gap between welded edges from 2.5 to 4.5 mm. Preliminary heating of welded edges is carried out from 130 to 150 °C. Heat input to the metal during welding is maintained at level of 0.4 to 0.8 kJ/mm. Electrodes with diameter of 1.2 to 2.5 mm are used, and number of passes in butt joint is increased due to reduced dimensions of fused roller at height from 1.5 to 2 mm without transverse oscillations at their application. Symmetrical double-sided cutting of welded edges and symmetrical application of welded rolls on both sides are used, and welding is performed from center to edges by back-step method, controlling temperature between applied welded rollers from 130 to 170 °C, after which butt joint is cooled at a rate of not more than 40 °C/s by continuous concomitant heating. Butt joint weld cooling against 170 °C temperature is made by covering with heat-insulating belts to temperature of 50 °C, and after performing welding and installation jobs, post-welding heat treatment of welded joint is performed under high release mode at temperature from 620 to 680 °C for 30 minutes.

EFFECT: disclosed is the reservoir wall repair method.
