FIELD: tanks construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of construction of tanks, in particular to the welding of corner joints of the tank wall with a bottom made of sheet metal made of low-carbon and low-alloy steels with a tensile strength of up to 588 MPa and a carbon equivalent (Ceq) of 0.28 to 0.46 using electric arc welding in the construction of tanks for the storage of oil and oil products.
EFFECT: increasing the operational reliability and durability of vertical steel tanks by improving the quality of welded joints of the interface of the tank wall with its bottom during their manufacture due to the complete penetration of the structural lack of penetration at the root of the weld by choosing the optimal pressure of the welding arc.
