FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for repair work, in particular in tanks of low carbon and low alloy steels. Defective zone of the technological window is marked and cut and a sheet repair insert is installed with a gap between edges being welded and fixed. Edges being welded are preheated from 130 to 170 °C for 15–25 minutes at a width of 50–100 mm from their ends. Welded joint is formed by symmetrical overlapping of welded rollers with a height of 1.0 to 2.0 mm along the contour of the sheet repair insert from its inner and reverse side from the center to the edges in the inverse-step manner without transverse oscillations of the electrode. Interlayer temperature is controlled at a width of no more than 30 mm from the cutting border of the edge being welded with its maintenance from 130 to 170 °C. After the welded joint is formed, it is cooled and thermally treated according to the high-temperature tempering mode.
EFFECT: method provides reduced residual stresses.
