RAIL MONITORING FLAW DETECTOR Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N29/04 B61K9/08

Abstract RU 2686409 C1

FIELD: defectoscopy.

SUBSTANCE: use: for flaw detection of rails. Summary of invention consists in the fact that the flaw detector has a connected control processor (1) and actuating unit (2) and a power supply unit (3) connected to them. Control processor (1) includes data input and adjustment unit (4) and interconnected gradient threshold generation unit (5), ultrasonic control parameters control unit (6), amplitude scanning sweep unit (7), path sweep unit (8), data output unit (9) and display (10). Actuating unit (2) includes main (11) and ultrasonic channels made similar to main additional (21), the number of which is selected from the condition of possibility of complete ultrasonic monitoring of rails along their entire section, and two magnetic channels (16), (17). Each ultrasonic channel (11), (21) contains analogue-to-digital converter (13), as well as amplifier (12) and generator of probing pulses (14), to which ultrasonic transducers (15) are connected. Each magnetic channel (16), (17) contains analogue-to-digital converter (18) and amplifier (19), to which magnetic sensors (20) are connected. Executive unit (2) also comprises in-series connected information acquisition unit (22) and control commands processing unit (23) connected to corresponding electronic units (12), (13), (14) (18), (19) of all channels (11), (21), (16), (17), and controller (24) associated with data input and adjustment unit (4), gradient threshold generation unit (5) and ultrasonic control parameters control unit (6). Connection to external synchronizer (25) is provided to control commands processing unit (23).

EFFECT: high objectivity, reliability and efficiency of monitoring and overall improvement of its operational efficiency.
