FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: ultrasound transducer is arranged in preset scanning zone to perform control operations including sounding by ultrasound frequency pulses, recording reflected pulses by means of reflectoscope to display them as amplitude-time scan, isolating time zone corresponding to preset scanning zone, its aperture being selected proceeding from criterion of sounding pulse staying out of said zone, setting the criterion of signal utility and analyzing reflected signals recorded in said time zone, displacing ultrasound transducer in scanning zone to repeat control operations. Note here that mean arithmetic amplitude of isolated signals is defined in said isolated time zone. Received signal amplitude N is in the range satisfying the condition N≤N1-N2, where N1 is dynamic range of signals displayed on reflectoscope screen, N2 is criterion of signal classification as utility signal, while signal utility criterion is defined as overrun of its amplitude over said mean arithmetic amplitude by N2≥12 dB.
EFFECT: higher validity.
