METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPTIMIZATION OF WORKING GAS RECYCLING IN TOKAMAK Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G21B1/00

Abstract RU 2686478 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of optimizing recycling of working gas in tokamak. Method envisages supply of working gas molecules and atoms to plasma from walls of vacuum chamber walls, movable and fixed limiters, and gas feed system with pipeline. At that, simultaneously reducing flow of atoms generated as a result of reflection of ions and atoms coming from plasma, from surfaces of walls of vacuum chamber and limiters with neutralization, reduced flow of working gas molecules supplied to plasma from walls of vacuum chamber walls and limiters and increasing flow of working gas molecules into plasma from gas feed system. Residual flow of fast atoms is reduced by directing the flow reflected from the surface of the movable and fixed limiters towards the surface of the wall of the vacuum chamber in which the cavities are made. Flow of working gas molecules is reduced by application of vacuum chamber and getter limiters on wall surface. Flow of working gas molecules is increased by arranging the outlet of the pipeline of the gas slide gate system on the surface of the movable limiter facing the plasma, and at the pipeline outlet the Laval nozzle is installed. Electronic plasma temperature in the area of the pipeline outlet of the gas influx system is optimized by additional heating.

EFFECT: technical result is providing radial profiles of density of charged particles of plasma and atoms of working gas, optimal from the point of view of energy retention in plasma and providing higher energy life time in the main volume of tokamak plasma and higher efficiency.
