FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of articles from sheets of reinforced or non-reinforced gasket material made of thermally expanded graphite, paronite, rubber, fluoroplastic, and can be used for cutting of flat flanged gaskets of different shape, for example, round or ellipsoidal. Installation comprises electroscissors with rotary mechanism, fixed on base table and equipped with cutter holder with two adjustable movable blades having possibility of reciprocal movement in vertical plane, unit of adjustable fixed knives built in base table, and movable centre for fixation of sheet material with spring-lever unit, moving along longitudinal through slot made in base table. Cutter holder is equipped with a scale with a price of division in millimetre range, on which knives are installed to ensure the specified cutting width. Electroscissors are equipped with electronic control unit providing working and adjusting mode of movable knives movement with possibility of operative stop in "lower dead point" of shears movement.
EFFECT: result is reduction of labour intensity of production of gaskets due to simplification of settings and improvement of reliability of operation of installation for cutting.
