FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, namely, to arrangement of barriers for protection of buildings and structures against seismic actions. Barrier for seismic protection of buildings and structures surrounding the protected area, upper edge of which is at level with the ground surface. Barrier is a trench filled with nonlinearly viscous (non-Newtonian) fluid.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of seismic protection at various intensity of loads.
