FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, namely, to arrangement of barriers for protection of buildings and structures against seismic actions. Horizontal barrier for seismic protection of buildings and structures surrounding protected area, upper edge of which is at level with ground surface. Barrier represents waterproof mats filled with nonlinearly viscous (non-Newtonian) liquid and laid at shallow depth from free surface.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of seismic protection at various intensity of loads.
