FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, namely, to arrangement of barriers for protection of buildings and structures against seismic actions. Barrier for seismic protection of buildings and structures surrounding the protected area, upper edge of which is at level with the ground surface. Barrier is a trench filled with heterogeneous material, which is a mixture of solid particles of fraction up to 20 mm, impregnated with nonlinearly viscous non-Newtonian liquid.
EFFECT: high efficiency of seismic protection at different intensity of loads.
