SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agriculture. Disclosed is a method of processing carbon-containing material to obtain a humus-containing product by exposing it to a mixture of bacteria consisting of strains Acinetobacter calcoaceticus VKPM B-4883, Pseudomonas denitrificans VKPM B-4884, Pseudomonas sp."longa" VKPM B-4885, taken in amount (6-8)⋅109, (3-4)⋅109 and (2-3)⋅109 cells per 1 l of solution, respectively, in the presence of a phosphorus-containing additive, under aerobic conditions and while stirring, wherein the carbon-containing material is preliminarily milled into 0.5 mm in a wet grinding mill with combined addition of sapropel in amount of 5–10 wt% and grinding is carried out for 30 minutes, obtained mixture is fed into a mixer where aluminum industry waste is fed in form of dust from cleaning of carbon electrodes with particle size of up to 0.5 mm in amount of 10–20 wt% and phosphorus-containing additive in amount of 0.2–0.6 wt%, mixing is carried out for 5–10 minutes, obtained suspension is fed into fermenter, where inoculum is preliminary supplied in form of mixture of bacteria in amount of 200–233 l per 1 m3 suspension is additionally mixed at supply of air from 0.5–2.0 m3/min and temperature 15–20 °C for 28–30 hours.

EFFECT: invention increases the quality of the end product.
