FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the perfume and cosmetic industry and is a composition for controlling unpleasant odours, comprising a combination of hexanal, 3,7-dimethyloct-2,6-dienal and 2,6-dimethyl-5-heptenal, where hexanal is present in amount of 0.3 to 2 wt. % of total weight of composition, 3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienal is present in amount of 15 to 20 wt. % of total weight of composition and 2,6-dimethyl-5-heptenal is present in amount of 3 to 6 wt. % of total weight of composition, as well as to articles containing said composition, as well as to use thereof for controlling odour and a method of controlling unpleasant odours.
EFFECT: inventions provide effective neutralization of a wide range of unpleasant odours and, at the same time, the composition has no unpleasant odour.
