FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire safety: to investigation of combustion parameters of solid substances, construction materials and wooden structures, in particular to determination of rate of charring of wooden bent elements in fire conditions in building. According to the invention, a wooden compressed element is tested without fire exposure by nondestructive methods on a set of unit quality factors of a wooden bent element. For this purpose position of wooden bent element in building space is determined, geometrical sizes of wooden bent element, conditions for burning of dangerous cross-section of wooden bending element in fire conditions, critical layer of charring, average density, strength and moisture of wood in natural state. Required value of the rate of charring of the cross-section of a wooden bending element is determined from analytical equation (1). Description of process of burning of bent element in fire conditions for assessment of speed of carbonization of section is represented by mathematical dependence, which takes into account position of heated faces of wooden bent element in building space, massiveness of section, actual moisture, average density and strength of wood for bending.
EFFECT: possibility of determining the rate of charring of a wood bending element without fire tests, high reliability of controlling quality of construction wood bending elements and nondestructive tests, low cost of testing.
