FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fire safety of buildings. Disclosed is method of determining time index of fire resistance of bent element under test load under conditions of standard thermal action. For this purpose non-destructive tests are used to verify single quality indices of bent element, then dangerous cross-section is measured, shape of bent element, rock and grade of wood, and circuit of dangerous cross-section in case of fire is determined. Limiting depth of cross-section of bent element is burnt and element of element quality is calculated to calculate time value of fire resistance of bent element. Description of process of bending element resistance is presented by analytical relationship, which takes into account dimensions and geometrical characteristics of cross section, values of running load on bending element, design length of span of bent element, standard resistance of wood to bend level of responsibility of building structure; maximum depth of element section burning.
EFFECT: exclusion of fire tests of wooden bent elements in the building, expansion of technological capabilities of assessment of fire resistance of differently loaded bent elements of any dimensions, possibility of testing wooden structures for fire-resistance without their destruction and without disturbance of functional process in the building.
