FIELD: transport engineering; transport facility suspensions. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic damper consists of reservoir with lug, cylinder with piston having throttling orifice, check valve, relief valve, rods, discharge valve, supply valve and guide with throttling orifice secured in reservoir by means of nut. Relief valve is made in form of flexible double-acting disk: at tension stroke it opens flow of liquid between stop of rod and disk over perimeter of orifice and at compression stroke it opens flow of liquid between piston stop and disk over external perimeter. EFFECT: simplified construction; enhanced efficiency of relief valve at high rates and frequencies of oscillation of piston in cylinder creating initial force of resistance. 3 cl, 3 dwg
