FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel tanks for snowmobiles. Snowmobile comprises frame, which contains tunnel, engine support, front suspension, front support and fuel tank (52), containing lower (240) and upper (220) walls, connected together to form closed volume. Said volume is communicated with engine and comprises part extending upward and forward from tunnel to front support. Fuel tank is detachably connected to tunnel and to front support by means of upper wall (220), in which there are left and right lower end parts (224, 226), respectively connected to tunnel on left and right sides of longitudinal central plane, wherein upper end part (224) is connected to front support. Lower wall (240) is connected to upper wall (220) above lower end parts and below upper end part. Force transmitted between the front support and the tunnel through fuel tank (52) is transmitted through upper wall (220), but is not transmitted through lower wall (240).

EFFECT: technical result is creation of snowmobile with extra strong frame so that snowmobiles can withstand various types of compressing and twisting forces, which machine undergoes movement in different relief and under different conditions, and with reduced weight of frame.
