FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the main elements of shipboard equipment and can be used as an underwater propulsion unit for moving them in liquid media, for example, in river or sea water. Electric underwater propulsion unit contains a stator core of electrical steel with a three-phase winding and a rotating rotor with a core of electrical steel with a short-circuited winding. Stator core is fixedly mounted in the propulsion housing, the housing is rigidly fixed on the frame, in which there is an opening for laying the electric cable, shaft is mounted on the housing using bearings, blades and a rotor core with longitudinal channels are mounted on the shaft. There is an air gap between the stator core and the rotor core, a layer of waterproof material can be applied to the metal parts of the propulsion unit.
EFFECT: increase in device reliability is achieved.
