FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for limiting self-heating of activated catalysts for treating hydrocarbons in form of particles, according to which catalyst particles are brought into motion in a stream of hot gas passing through them, wherein the liquid composition containing one or more film-forming polymers is sprayed onto the moving particles to obtain on the surface of said particles a protective layer containing said film-forming polymer, which average thickness makes from 0.1 to 20 mcm. Also disclosed is use of described method and disclosed is activated catalyst for hydroconversion of hydrocarbons.
EFFECT: technical result is invention reduces risks caused by using said activated catalysts, eliminates the need for storage thereof in an inert atmosphere, while significantly reducing potential release of toxic gases.
